- This cartography traces the hydrological history of the Hunter River and Estuary (NSW, Australia), mapping environmental, industrial, and urban transformations from pre-colonial to post-capitalist states. The cartography visually articulates the correlation of pre-colonial hydrological landscapes, the transformation of the estuary since pre-colonial times, the areas identified as at risk, and the opportunities for developing a climate-resilient estuary. The aim is to analyse past, present, and future hydrological, geomorphological and climate-related hazard scenarios and to identify pathways for adapting estuary urbanism to climate change.
